This is a three-part spool adapter for small 250g spools with a 42mm hub, designed for the ACE Pro and AMS. This is used for 250g spools sold by Sunlu and others (not all Sunlu use 42mm hubs). I used PETG filament. PLA might deform when using the ACE Pro heater. If you don't use the heater, then PLA should be fine. When slicing, you may get a floating cantilever warning. It can be safely ignored. It wants to add support to the threads, but I've had no problems printing without support, and the threads may become too rough when using supports.
To assemble, slide the minder in the left spool holder, slide the 250g spool on top of the minder, and then screw the right side on. The minder keeps the filament on a narrow spool when winding backwards.
I designed this to use minimal filament to print faster, and rounded edges so it's easier to handle. Quite a few other filament adapters take far longer to print and leave lots of sharp edges.
