Measure the outer diameter before printing, so you will have the right one. You can also scale the model a bit to fit. Message me if you need help.
Use Sunlu (and others) 250g spools in the ACE or AMU as a full-size spool!
- Sunlu dimensions OD = 120mm, Width = 42 mm (other dimensions unimportant)
There are other adapters, but here is why this one is the best:
- grips the outside of the small spool
- Robust pin grips a hole in the 250g spool, it won't break
- wide stance in the ACE/AMU for best reliability
- A grippy tread on the outside of the spool means this works when printed with PLA (which is perhaps more slippery than other materials)
- steers the filament back onto the spool when retracting
- Provides a hole for the end of the filament to rest in
