High-Capacity Desiccant Box for the Filapartner E1
This is the next mod for the Chitu Filament Dryer.
This high-capacity desiccant box is designed to hold a large amount of rechargeable silica gel beads or other drying agents, helping to keep your filament dry inside the Filapartner E1.
The additional desiccant capacity helps maintain low humidity inside the dryer for a much longer time, preventing the filament from absorbing moisture. During the filament drying process, the desiccant is regenerated by the heat, allowing it to be reused repeatedly.
The desiccant box fits perfectly into the space beneath the cover, either at the front or the rear of the unit. It is precisely sized for a secure fit, and the original cover can be reinstalled afterward. No modifications to the Filapartner E1 are required.
Each box features a secure sliding lid that keeps the desiccant safely contained. When installing the box, make sure the small retaining lip on the lid is facing upward.
Because the desiccant is exposed to the temperatures inside the dryer during regeneration, it is recommended to print the box in PETG at a minimum, with ABS recommended for the best heat resistance.
Installation:
- Remove the roller
- Remove the cover
- Insert the desiccant box into the available space
