Description

What this is

This is a protective and aesthetic fan cover, designed for the printhead of the Kobra S1 Max.

It does NOT modify airflow performance, but helps:

  • prevent accidental contact with the fan
  • reduce the risk of debris entering the fan area
  • improve the overall look of the printhead

Why you might want it

Let’s be honest:

Stock setup looks unfinished and the fan is exposed.

This solves that.

  • cleaner visual integration
  • added protection for moving fan blades
  • safer handling during maintenance

Design intent

The geometry is designed to:

  • keep the fan visible
  • avoid blocking airflow unnecessarily
  • maintain compatibility with the original housing

Print settings

  • 0.2 layer height
  • 3 walls
  • 15–20% infill
  • PLA or PETG

Installation

  1. Position the grill over the fan opening
  2. Press-fit or align depending on version
  3. Ensure it sits flush with the housing

Notes

  • This is primarily an aesthetic and protective upgrade
  • Does not improve cooling performance
  • Designed for safe everyday use
