Cascading Card Case (Print-in-Place) - Holds 5 Cards

Model Description Design of a minimalist pop-up card case for up to 5 cards. It uses a simple front swipe motion to access the cards, which are pushed out in a cascading manner.

Design Features:

• Print-in-Place (PiP): The model prints in one piece and is ready to use immediately after freeing the mechanism. No assembly required.
• Secure Hold: The cards are held securely in place thanks to two front slots that utilize the elasticity of the plastic. They won't fall out even when upside down.
• Split Mechanism: The holding mechanism is split into two parts. This prevents a single thick card from stretching the entire plastic frame and loosening the other cards.

Print Settings:

• Material: I strongly recommend PETG. (PLA tends to lose tension under the pressure of the cards over time).
• Supports: No (Print-in-Place).

Instructions: How to free the mechanism after printing: Although it is Print-in-Place, it requires some force initially to release the movement, as the parts are printed very close together.

1. Press firmly on the pivot point on the back of the case. Press it in different directions until you hear a few clicks as the internal layers separate. Don't be afraid to use force if necessary.
2. Helper Holes: I have added 2 extra holes on the back. You can use a small screwdriver head to push into these and release the parts.
3. Also, loosen the front strip carefully.
4. Now push the sliding mechanism. It will feel a bit rough at the beginning. Move the mechanism fully up and down several times to smooth out the movement.
