Description

This is a Darth Vader style portrait patch designed for Star Wars fans. With a height of 196mm, it is perfect for the center of T-shirts.

Not just for shirts—works great as wall decor or notebook decals.

👕 Iron-on Instructions (Step-by-Step)

Pro Tip: For the best results and durability, using TPU filament is highly recommended as it remains flexible and moves with the fabric.

1. Preparation

  • Place the Garment: Lay your T-shirt or fabric on a flat, heat-resistant surface (like an ironing board).
  • Positioning: Place the 3D-printed patch on the desired spot. Ensure the side that was touching the print bed is facing down (this side is usually flatter and adheres better).

2. Heat Protection (Crucial)

  • Cover it up: Place a sheet of parchment paper (baking paper) or a thin cotton cloth over the 3D print.
  • Warning: Never let the iron touch the plastic directly, as it will melt and stick to your iron!

3. The Ironing Process

  • Temperature: Set your iron to medium heat (140°C – 160°C or the "Silk/Wool" setting). Turn off the steam function.
  • Pressure: Press the iron firmly down on the parchment paper. Move it in slow, circular motions for 30 to 60 seconds. Make sure to apply even pressure to the edges and thin lines of the Vader mask.

4. Cooling and Finishing

  • Let it Cool: Wait for the print and the fabric to cool down completely (about 2–3 minutes). Do not peel the paper while it is still hot, as the plastic may still be molten and deform.
  • The Test: Gently peel away the parchment paper. If any edges seem loose, cover and iron for another 15 seconds.

5. Care Instructions

  • Wait at least 24 hours before the first wash.
  • Wash the garment inside out in cold water.
  • Air dry is preferred; avoid high-heat dryers to prevent the patch from softening.
