Raccoon Engineering Extended-Stay Base for Brian Cabalic's Printhead Service Jig

The Raccoon Engineering Extended-Stay Base is an add-on accessory designed specifically for Brian Cabalic's award-winning Kobra X printhead service jig.

Brian's jig provides a safe and secure way to disassemble the Kobra X printhead while supporting the delicate components during service. The Extended-Stay Base complements his design by adding a convenient place to store the printhead cover and upper filament channel whenever a repair turns into a long-term project.

And by "long-term," I mean I've had a printhead sitting in Brian's jig for the last two or three months. At this point it's less of a repair bench and more of an extended-stay motel.

The base also includes locations for three standard rare-earth magnets, installed from the back with a drop of glue. These provide a handy magnetic tray for screws and other small hardware. Magnets Available on Amazon here

Brian's original jig already includes excellent screw organizers. Unfortunately, the raccoons here at Raccoon Engineering don't have the patience for that level of organization.

Let's be honest... they added handles to them and turned them into flea scratchers.

Note: This download includes only the Raccoon Engineering Extended-Stay Base. Brian's printhead service jig is required and must be downloaded separately.

This model is printed face down with the text set as modifiers. Please change colors in the object menu. The upper channel block has a chamfer to locate it and requires a couple drops of CA glue to hold it in place.
