I designed a floating duckweed barrier with a built-in water fall filtration defuser.
using some suction cups that ziptie onto the support brackets, stick to the back wall under the waterfall filter and then slide on the floating defuser / barrier.
With live plants and duckweed we have tried store bought defusers and floating duckweed barriers and while they worked okay they were not that good and could be more of a headache especially when doing tank maintenance so I hopped into Blender for the first time in years and quickly mocked up this design. I have had it in the tank for a few weeks now. I wish I had made this sooner because it works amazingly. I may eventually get the bug in me to try and clean the model up but for now this one is doing the job I needed it to.
Best to use PETG as it is strong and safe for use in fish tanks, set infill to 2.
