Gengis Khan (Temüjin Borjigin) Buste

🇫🇷 Description

🇬🇧 Description

This bust depicts Genghis Khan, born Temüjin Borjigin, founder of the Mongol Empire and one of the greatest conquerors in history. The sculpture is inspired by the most widely recognized representation of the ruler, based on traditional Mongolian portraits created after his death, which established his iconic appearance: broad face, calm yet commanding gaze, short beard, and distinctive hairstyle framing the forehead.

The sculptural interpretation emphasizes the quiet strength of the nomadic leader. The deliberately restrained expression reflects both the strategist and the lawgiver, as Genghis Khan was more than a conqueror: in the 13th century he unified the steppe tribes and built an empire stretching from China to Europe. He also established a legal code — the Yassa — promoting discipline, meritocracy, and religious tolerance, key elements in maintaining stability across his vast territory.

Designed for 3D printing, this bust aims to capture the historical image that became iconic: a stern, visionary, and highly effective leader whose legacy profoundly shaped cultural and commercial exchanges across Eurasia.
