Description

Description:

Meet the Honorable Orc. Far from the usual cruel and mindless brute, this mighty warrior fights with valor and honor.

Standing at an impressive 20cm tall, this large-scale display piece is rich in intricate details: layered armor, textured wood and leather elements, and a massive, brutal stone-headed axe.

He stands on a dynamic textured terrain base, featuring a half-buried skull that hints at his past battles.

This model is designed specifically for FDM printers, proving that with the right technique, FDM can achieve resin-like collectible statue results!

Painting & Assembly Guide (Read Before Printing!)

Modular Design: The model is split into several parts. This not only allows printing on smaller build plates but makes painting a breeze.

The Zenithal Trick: The parts feature interlocking joints designed to be assembled without glue just for applying your zenithal primer. Once primed, simply pull them apart to paint the individual pieces easily, avoiding hard-to-reach areas.

Final Assembly: Once painted, use a drop of CA (super) glue on the joints for a solid, permanent display piece.

FDM to Resin Finish: To achieve a smooth, resin-like look, lightly sand the visible surfaces with fine-grit sandpaper after removing supports. Apply a good primer before painting!

Print Settings & Instructions

Tested Material: Light Gray PLA - Gray is highly recommended as it makes zenithal priming and painting much easier.

Layer Height: 0.16mm (For optimal detail on the armor and base textures).

Infill: 12% Rectilinear.

Supports: Hybrid Tree Supports are already generated and optimized in the provided .3mf file.

Support Removal: The supports are designed to be easy to detach, but patience is key! Use flush cutters and a hobby craft knife to carefully clean the contact points without damaging the fine details.

If you enjoy this model and the "FDM to collectible" approach, please leave a like, a make, and follow for more large-scale statues!
