This is my storage solution for the Aliexpresss all metal hotend upgrade for the Kobra S1.
MODEL INFO: I have included a 5x numbers case, and a 4x numbered case. Both have covers included. The numbered cases have separate objects for the numbers, you can use the model split tool to cut parts of the top of them to make them shallower and thus embossed and then the same color is you prefer, they are 1mm thick.
There is also a 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5x hotend case with no numbers (there are covers for them as well). Use the text tool in the slicer to engrave the text if you don't have an ACE or don't want to swap colors 5x.
TOLERANCES: The covers have a 0.15mm gap all the way around, mine was a relatively good fit, but takes a little wiggling to get off. Maybe you want to scale the x/y of the cover a couple percent to make it looser for you. Can't say they exact tolerance for the threaded holes, they just worked the first try.
CUSTOMIZATION: There is also a rectangle block for 1 hotend, and a threaded hole block for the nozzle for customizing your own solutions.
NOTE: The thread holes for the nozzle are decently tight, so if you are worried print the example hole and scale up a couple percent (the cover and case) to get a looser fit. The nozzle holes are designed to have them screwed in with a socket so the outer ring diameter fits sockets under 10mm outside diameter for screwing them in so the cover can sit flat against the top of the case.
PRINTING: There are two print profiles included in the project. You can print the case with the settings of your choice, and the cover the same. For your convenience I have included a 0.2mm layer case and cover print profile. The cover print profile is much slower and 100% infill for printing in translucent filament.
No special instructions otherwise, standard printing.
Nothing is stopping you from printing both in your color of choice with your own print settings. That is if you don't want a clear cover or already tuned a profile for your filament.
