This is a remix of the “Kobra S1 Poop Chute – Removable Basket – External Spool Compatible” model from ezafs, adapted to keep your printer safe and your workspace clean while you print plastics that emit fumes.

What’s Different?

• Unobstructed Exhaust Path: The modified chute is designed so that it never blocks the stock Kobra S1 exhaust vent. Airflow remains unobstructed, allowing fumes to exit as intended.
• 100 mm Exhaust Connector: Built-in port compatible with a standard 100 mm ducting. You can attach ducting directly to this adapter to channel fumes outside or into a filtration system.

Why?

• Printing ABS, PETG, nylon, or any filament with odor or potentially harmful emissions? This remix gives you a cleaner setup. The ducting allows you to route the exhaust air out a window or into an air purifier, reducing noxious fumes in your room. Personally I also use the extractor for PLA.

Features preserved:

• Removable Basket Preserved: The original feature of a removable basket is kept, so you can still easily collect failed prints, supports, debris, etc., without fuss. You need to get this from the original design.
• Compatible with External Spool Setup: Still works beautifully for those using external spool mounts—no interference with feed or spool path.

Tips

• Use semi-rigid 100 mm ducting to connect to the adapter. Make sure it’s well-sealed to avoid leaks.
• Position the adapter and ducting in such a way that the hose runs smoothly without kinks.
• Ensure the modified chute is printed in a material that tolerates the heat of the plastic you will be printing. I tried it on PLA with PLA and it works fine, but your mileage might vary depending on your environment 
• Periodically clean the basket and check for any buildup inside the ducting.
