Description
I hadn’t been happy with any of the lid lifters so far, because they’re always visible. Since I rarely open the top lid anyway, I designed this part. It mounts from below onto the handle of the upper lid. Five small, round 3×6 magnets cause a pin to spring out when the lid is lifted. To close it, you simply press the pin back in slightly (e.g. with the spatula), and the lid shuts.
I would have preferred a version that snaps into place, but I’m not sure how to achieve that.
