Kobra X Magnetic Screen Cover - Bumper + Leaf Lid (6x2 magnets)

Magnetic screen cover for the Anycubic Kobra X: a clip-on bumper around the touchscreen plus a separate lid that snaps on with magnets. Remix of Gennis's CC0 Kobra X Screen Cover PRO (https://www.makeronline.com/en/model/x/283202.html). The leaf lid, the text and the magnet layout are my own design.

What's included

- Bumper: Gennis's frame with the hygrometer ring removed, the front flange thickened to 2.0 mm, and two 6.3 mm through-holes for 6x2 mm magnets.

- Leaf lid: 3 mm lid with a raised green leaf and red DO NOT TOUCH MY PRINTER! text (3 colours), plus two magnet pockets on the back (6.5 mm x 2.4 mm with an entry chamfer).

You need

- 4 x 6x2 mm neodymium disc magnets (2 in the bumper, 2 in the lid).

Print settings

- Kobra X, 0.4 nozzle, textured PEI, 0.2 mm layers, PLA, 65 C bed. 6 mm outer brim (stops corner warping and catches the start blob).

- Bumper: single colour, prime tower off. Prints front face down, no supports.

- Lid: 3 colours (body slot 1, leaf slot 2, text slot 3), prime tower on. Prints face up, no supports, ironing off.

Magnets

- Bumper: press the magnets into the holes after printing, a drop of glue if loose.

- Lid, option A: press them in after printing.

- Lid, option B (embedded): add a pause before layer 13 (2.6 mm) in the slicer, drop the magnets into the pockets, resume. The next layer seals them in.

- Check polarity against the bumper magnets before fixing them so the lid attracts instead of repels.
