Description

UPDATE 2026-04-09: I added a new profile that has a slightly wider and much deeper bin. The profile is well supported and just PLA - feel free to adjust as needed. The gray frame/bin in the pics is the new larger one (original size was printed in green).

Keep your tools close at hand!

Please note: this is designed for the "thick" screen version. Apparently, some KX models shipped with a thinner screen casing, which likely won't work with this model. If your screen is ~12.5mm at the thickest, it should (hopefully) work.

Warning: The space between the screen frame and print bed is very tight, make sure you verify there isn't any rubbing after installation!

What it is

Slightly different take on my Screen Frame Tool Tray offering a general-purpose storage bin instead of specific tool cutouts.

Printing Instructions

The geometry of the frame + tray can make this tricky to print without supports. If you have really dialed in bridges, you might be able to get away with it. I included supports in the provided print profile, specifically using PETG interfaces with a PLA model. Feel free to make whatever changes you see fit (the supports are across a pretty thin cross-section, so shouldn't be a problem for even default supports).

I also include the STL if you'd prefer to play with the orientation and support settings yourself. Printing it with the frame facing down would also work well if using a transfer build plate or for a split color design!
