Linuron molecular model (C9H10Cl2N2O2, CAS 330-55-2): a free, print-ready ball-and-stick model with the element symbol engraved on every atom, designed for chemistry lessons.
At its heart, Linuron is built around one aromatic 6-membered ring. The model shows 25 bonds: 18 single, 1 double and 6 aromatic, drawn in Kekulé form. Use the engraved letters like a register: call out each element and tick it off until the class reaches 9 C + 10 H + 2 Cl + 2 N + 2 O (25 atoms altogether). For intermolecular forces: the molecule has 1 hydrogen-bond donor and 2 acceptors (computed). Name-and-locate exercise: students find the urea linkage (-N-CO-N-) and the two C-Cl bonds on the model and afterwards write the name of every group they found. Topics it supports in class: aromaticity and delocalised electrons, the carbonyl group (C=O), as well as organohalogen compounds and carbon-halogen bonds.
Printing: the STL is in angstrom units - scale it 10x in the slicer (1 angstrom = 10 mm). Use supports under the bonds; PLA works well.
