This is the legendary Master Sword from the ‘The Legend of Zelda’ series.
The sword has been scaled down to make it more suitable for children, and its total length is 892 mm.
One of the most interesting features of this design is that it uses an M6 threaded rod running the entire length of the sword. This joins all the main parts into a single sturdy piece without the need for glue.
The BLADE_3 part has an M6 lock nut fitted inside it.
All the parts are joined together using a single 834 mm long threaded rod. It has been cut from a standard 1000 mm threaded rod, which can be easily found in most hardware or model shops.
The threaded rod makes the sword much more robust and also adds some weight, making it more realistic and ensuring it doesn’t look like a simple toy.
No glue is required for the main assembly. Everything is held together using only the threaded rod and two lock nuts.
The only parts that require glue are the decorative parts called Blade_surround and Jewell.
Assembling the sword is quite easy. Simply follow the exploded assembly view shown in the gallery.
