Project Horizon Space Explorer

3D model of a space explorer designed for survival and scientific research on uncharted planets



Technical Specifications

Software: Sculpted in Blender 5.

Height: ~15 cm.

Technology: Optimized for FDM printing in PLA/PLA+


Structure: Split into 2 parts (Head and Body) to ensure a perfect fit and make painting the neck area much easier.

Recommended Print Settings

Layer Height: 0.16 mm

Infill: 15-20%

Supports: Tree Auto


Assembly & Painting Guide

The two-part split is designed to simplify the finishing work:

Neck & Joints: Before assembly, paint the upper torso and flexible areas (elbows, back of knees) in Matte Black. This will simulate the rubber-like material and create a natural shadow under the helmet.

Helmet: Paint the outer visor in glossy black or smoke


Choose your palette: Matte Sand for a dusty, weathered look, or Glossy White for a clean, scientific aesthetic.


Assembly: Join the head to the body., model includes alignment pins, use a drop of cyanoacrylate glue
