Sample Filament Spool to Master Spool Adapter – ACE Pro Edition

If you are a person who have alot of filament samples and don’t know what to do with them, you are using many colors but just ocasionally and don’t want to buy 1kg spools when you need 10 meters, you found a seller who is selling samples of many different color filaments, where for the price just slightly higher than 1kg of single color you may have ten 100g samples – this is something for you.

I’m using sets of Sample Filament Spools - my remix available here https://www.makeronline.com/en/model/Filament%20Sample%20Spool/17725.html - along with Rosa3D Master Spool discs - widely available in Europe as a ready to use set, also as a model to download and print here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5938871 - and adapter I made before with great results on all of my printers.

Now when I’m finally an owner of Kobra 3 Combo, I wanted to use it also with ACE Pro. Due to ACE Pro construction, adapter required some modicications to provide smoother experience.

- I extend adapter by 5mm – there is enough space inside ACE and it is increase spool stability.

- Due to offsets of filament slots in ACE PRO I also offsetted Sample Filament Spool position on the Master Spool to keep them around the slot center – spacers are now different size.

- I corrected clearances of the model to match Kobra 3 accuracy. After the print clearances will be tight but connection will loosen after few uses and will be just right.

All my new color models and also the one I’m preparing print profiles for in color are printed with this setup without any issues :)

Print it in PETG to have some flexibility.
