The eternal chase for the elusive acorn continues!
This is a highly expressive, 3D-printable figurine of Scrat, the chaotic and beloved saber-toothed squirrel from the Ice Age franchise. Capturing his signature frantic energy, wide-eyed obsession, and desperate grip, this model is a fantastic piece of movie nostalgia for any fan of the films.
This version has been specifically engineered for single-color printing. You don’t need an AMS or complex multi-material setup to make him look great. The model relies on deep fur textures, prominent facial features, and sharp panel lines to create natural shadows that pop beautifully using just a single spool of filament. It has been tolerance-tested on Anycubic FDM printers (such as the Kobra, Vyper, or Mega series) to ensure clean handling of his thin limbs and tail.
⚠️ IMPORTANT DISPLAY NOTE: True to his clumsy and frantic nature in the movies, this figurine cannot stand by itself! Because of his dynamic, off-balance pose and heavy tail, you will need to prop him up, glue him to a custom base, or use double-sided tape/mounting putty under his feet to keep him upright on your desk or shelf.
Model Features
- Anycubic Slicer Calibrated: Geometrically optimized to handle the retraction transitions between his skinny legs, bulging eyes, and massive tail without causing excessive stringing.
- Highly Detailed Sculpt: Captures every bit of Scrat's desperate personality, from his twitchy snout to his signature prehistoric teeth.
Recommended Print Settings
- Layer Height: 0.12mm to 0.16mm is highly recommended to cleanly capture his bulging eyes, whiskers, and the textured details of his fur.
- Infill: 10% - 15% (Gyroid or Grid. Keep it on the lower side to reduce the weight of his large tail).
- Supports: Yes, supports are absolutely necessary for his long snout, outstretched arms, and heavy tail. Tree/Organic supports configured in your preferred slicer (Anycubic Next, Cura, or PrusaSlicer) are highly recommended for clean, painless removal.
- Brim: A 5mm to 8mm outer brim is highly recommended to keep his small feet firmly anchored to your Anycubic print bed during the print process.
