Self-Centering Laser Jig / Chuck for Sculpfun V5

Stop wasting time manually measuring and aligning your round or custom-shaped objects! This 4-pin self-centering chuck is designed to quickly and perfectly position your workpiece in the exact center of your Sculpfun V5 laser engraver.

⚙️ How It Works

• Clockwise rotation: Closes the pins inward to securely clamp and center objects of various sizes.
• Counter-clockwise rotation: Expands the pins outward for easy removal or larger workpieces.
• Specially designed to fit seamlessly onto the Sculpfun V5 laser engraver base.

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings

This model is designed to be extremely easy to print, robust, and clean:

• Material: Standard PLA (PETG or ABS also work well)
• Supports: NO SUPPORTS NEEDED! 🚫
• Layer Height: 0.20 mm
• Infill: 15% – 20% (Gyroid or Grid recommended)
• Wall Loops / Perimeters: 3 or 4 walls for extra strength on the pins and frame
• Brim: Optional (depending on your bed adhesion)

🛠️ Assembly & Usage Instructions

1. Print the Parts: Print the base and top mechanism components.
2. Assemble: Put everything together using 3mm nuts and bolts.
3. Mount to Laser: Place the assembled chuck onto the Sculpfun V5 base and secure it using the stock screws provided with your machine.
4. Position Your Object: Place your workpiece (coasters, wood blanks, acrylic discs, coins, etc.) in the center.
5. Clamp & Center: Rotate clockwise until the pins hold the piece firm and perfectly centered.
6. Set & Engrave: Import your design into SGD (or your preferred software), set your laser frame/origin to the center point, and start batch engraving without ever needing to re-align!
