The solar lamp is printed in vase mode using translucent PETG. This requires very little filament, makes the lamp more durable than it would be with thin supports, and allows the light to match the color of the filament. It can be placed on a surface, hung up, or mounted on a 10 mm round rod, which can be used as a ground spike.
The solar lamp used is available on AliExpress or Amazon. However, links to these products tend to expire quickly. These lamps are described as “Solar Light Replacement Part 8cm.” They require a 73 mm diameter opening, and the upper collar has a diameter of 80 mm.
NEW: Now there are 3 different sizes. The original one has diameter 100 mm, additionally there is a smaller 80 mm and a bigger 120 mm version.
Print in vase mode. I recommend a layer thickness of 0.15 mm and setting the outer perimeter to 0.65 mm. This ensures a large overlap for overhangs.
The filament should be translucent, with minimal pigments, and in light colors.
