Tail Wiper - Kobra X and Kobra 4 purge ejector upgrade
This is a must-have upgrade for anyone with a Kobra X or Kobra 4.
This mod adds a silicone nozzle wiper directly to the purge ejector assembly. Not only does your nozzle get cleaned at least two or three times at the beginning of every print, it now gets wiped after every single color change throughout the print.
That extra cleaning helps eliminate those annoying little purge tails that sometimes get dragged back out of the ejector and dropped onto the build plate. Those pieces can then get caught by the nozzle and interfere with your first layer or the rest of the print.
The part is a super easy print and installs using slightly longer screws, available on Amazon Longer Screws along with a standard replaceable silicone nozzle wiper, also available on Amazon Silicone Wiper on Amazon
The silicone wiper comes with double-sided adhesive already installed. For maximum adhesion, feel free to use a small amount of CA glue instead. Our favorite glue for 3D printing Amazon.
Note we have found that Anycubic "light grey" is a really good match for the printer plastic. We use "texture grey" as an accent color on most our products.

Poop Deflector Compatibility
Because this assembly attaches using three screws on the bottom of the purge ejector, it may interfere with many existing poop deflectors. A lot of designs wrap around or clamp onto the same lower portion of the ejector where this upgrade mounts.
The Raccoon Engineering Poop Deflector also wraps around the bottom of the ejector, but it was designed to provide the necessary clearance for this nozzle-wiper upgrade. It also uses a slide interlock, helping make the complete assembly stronger and more secure.
If you want to continue using your current deflector, you may need to cut a notch in the center for clearance or ask the original designer to modify it.
