Description

A Gothic hanging wall ornament featuring an anatomical heart embraced by thorned vines and blooming roses. Cathedral-inspired arches, intricate tracery, twin crescent moons, and a skull at its base frame a relic of devotion, sacrifice, and enduring life.

Long ago, a healer offered his heart to save everyone sheltered within a dying kingdom’s chapel. By dawn, the sick had recovered, and his heart hung within the great arched window, its final beat still echoing through the stone.

That winter, roses grew from its veins. Their thorned stems climbed the pillars, binding the heart to its sanctuary. Each flower opened for a life saved by his sacrifice, and remained in bloom as long as that person’s bloodline survived.

When the chapel finally fell, villagers recovered the untouched arch and carried it home. They hung it upon a wall, where the heart began to beat again.

Since then, the relic has passed from home to home. Its roses turn slowly toward those who enter, and on the coldest nights, the thorns tighten around the heart—as though something outside is trying to call it back.
