Tridemorph molecular model (C19H39NO, CAS 24602-86-6): a free, print-ready ball-and-stick model with the element symbol engraved on every atom, designed for chemistry lessons.
Turn the model in your hand to see the shape of Tridemorph: one 6-membered ring, and 60 bonds in total (all of them single). A five-minute warm-up: read the symbol on every sphere and write down the totals (19 C + 39 H + 1 N + 1 O = 60 atoms). This molecule gives students these functional groups to identify: ether linkage (C-O-C) and tertiary amino group (-NR2). The record leaves the configuration of Tridemorph open at two stereocentres, so students can sketch each possible arrangement on paper and compare. A good fit for lessons on chirality, enantiomers and CIP (R/S) rules, as well as on amines and basicity.
Printing: the STL is in angstrom units - scale it 10x in the slicer (1 angstrom = 10 mm). Use supports under the bonds; PLA works well.
