I designed this 2-in-1 Masonry Line Tensioner to combine two commonly used solutions into a single, practical 3D-printable tool.
๐น STANDARD MODE
Use it as a traditional masonry line tensioner for everyday bricklaying and construction work.
๐น EDGE / CORNER MODE
The same tool can be used directly on a wall edge or corner, making it easier to position and tension the line precisely.
๐ฟ Masonry Line Twig โ included accessory
Long masonry lines have one common problem: they sag in the middle.
To solve this, I designed a simple Masonry Line Twig that supports the line at intermediate points. It helps prevent the string from dropping over longer distances and keeps the line straight and at the correct height.
๐ก Why I made it
Standard and edge tensioners are commonly available as separate tools. I wanted to combine their functionality into one simple design.
The goal was not to create a complicated mechanism, but a simple, functional and easy-to-print tool that can actually be useful on the job.
