Description

This is a remix of a model from Makers Making Change.

After printing the original I wanted to make it easier to unload and reload a new utensil without a screwdriver. I added a printable screw with a large knob so there is no additional hardware needed. I also closed in the extra holes because it printed faster without them, and removed the text for ease of printing.

I exported these in the small, medium, and large dimensions from the original model documentation. The pen hole is 18mm diameter on all. If you need different sizes please reach out and I can upload.

See the full sizing guide here: https://www.printables.com/model/213745-palm-pen-holder

Assembly: Print one screw for each pen holder. Insert the screw into the threaded hole on the pen holder. Place a writing tool in the larger hole and tighten the screw down until your tool is firmly held in place.

PRINT SETTINGS:

material: PLA

support: No supports are needed, but a brim on the handles will help with bed adhesion.

infill: High infill on the screws (I used 25% on the knob part and 100% on the threads), any infill on the main piece.

resolution: 0.2mm layers should work fine, 0.16mm or finer for better overhangs in the holes and smoother threads
