Squidlumen is a playful 3D printed table lamp inspired by the elegant and mysterious shape of a squid.
Its flowing tentacles form the base of the lamp, while two raised arms wrap around the E14 lamp holder, making the light source part of the sculpture itself. The result is a functional lamp with a strong marine character that works especially well in creative spaces, gaming rooms, studios or nautical-themed interiors.
The model is designed to be easy to print and assemble:
- No AMS required
- Separate parts designed for press-fit assembly
- Compatible with a standard E14 lamp holder
- Easy multi-color look using separately printed components
- Minimal post-processing required
For an extra finishing touch, I applied a thin layer of clear glossy varnish (Vernidas) to the eyes. This is completely optional, but it gives them a deeper, glass-like appearance and makes Squidlumen feel even more alive.
The golden lamp-holder cover adds a contrasting accent against the body and turns the bulb into a prominent part of the design.
Use an LED E14 bulb to keep heat generation low.
Print it, assemble it, add your favorite colors and bring a little creature from the deep onto your desk.
Squidlumen — where the deep sea meets light.
