This is a two-part 1U 19-inch rack mount designed for a Dell Wyse 5070 and additional SSD storage.
The left section holds the Dell Wyse 5070, while the right section provides two separate channels for the SSDs used in my setup. Both parts are connected in the center to create a stable full-width rack panel.
The mount has been test-fitted and provides a very stable and secure installation.

Dimensions
Complete assembled front panel
- Width: 482.6 mm
- Height: 44.5 mm
- Rack size: 19 inch / 1
Dell Wyse 5070 left section
- Width: 241.3 mm
- Height: 44.5 mm
- Maximum depth: 190 mm
- Front device opening: approximately 185 × 36 mm
SSD right section
- Width: 241.3 mm
- Height: 44.5 mm
- Maximum depth: 101.5 mm
- Two internal openings: approximately 45.9 × 16.4 mm each
Please check the dimensions of your SSDs or SSD enclosures before manufacturing the part. The right section was designed around the SSDs used in my own setup and may not fit every SSD enclosure without modification.
Hardware and assembly
The two sections are joined at the center using four screws and brass threaded inserts.
The model includes:
- Four stepped insert locations on the Dell Wyse section
- Approximately 6 mm insert pockets with 3.6 mm pilot sections
- Four corresponding screw-clearance holes of approximately 4.6 mm on the SSD section
- Two approximately 13 × 6.5 mm rack slots on each outer rack ear
Screws, rack hardware and brass inserts are not included.
Manufacturing notes
The supplied orientation places the rack front flat on the build surface.
Each section is 241.3 mm long, so the available build area must be larger than 241.3 mm in at least one direction. Remember to allow additional room when using a brim, skirt or other build-plate adhesion method.
For a rack installation, use enough wall thickness and internal reinforcement to support the weight of the installed hardware. Check the complete toolpath preview before starting, especially around the lattice structure, insert pockets and screw holes.
Blanking panel
A separate blanking panel is not included in Version 1.0.
A blank panel is relatively simple to design, so users can create one that matches their own rack layout. I may add an official blanking panel in a future version if there is enough demand or when I need one for my own installation.
Compatibility
- Dell Wyse 5070
- Standard 19-inch rack
- 1U rack space
- Custom SSDs or SSD enclosures fitting the listed openings
Compatibility with other Dell Wyse models, thin clients or SSD enclosures has not been tested.
