Description

Test your 3D printer's performance in one single print with the AWT Works Benchmark v1.0. This compact test plate covers the most common printer calibration tests in a single print at a constant speed of your choice. Do not use adaptive speed. Compare results between speeds to find your printer's sweet spot.

Tests Included:

  • Stringing: 3 tapered pins in triangle formation with 10mm and 20mm gaps.
  • Overhang: 45°, 60°, 70° and 75°.
  • Bridging: 20mm, 40mm and 60mm
  • Tolerance rings: 4/2, 5/3, 6/4, 7/5 and 8/6mm (outer/inner diameter).
  • Wall thickness: 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2mm.

Design Philosophy:

Most all-in-one test prints combine multiple tests into single compact structures. I chose to keep each test separate and clearly labeled for one simple reason, it's much easier to evaluate the results.

  • Separate overhang angles mean you can instantly see exactly where your printer starts to struggle.
  • Individual bridge spans make it obvious which lengths your printer handles cleanly.
  • The tolerance rings give you both inner and outer diameter to measure with calipers in one go.
  • Tapered stringing pins in a triangle formation test multiple gap distances and directions simultaneously.

Every design choice was made to maximize readability of results, not to minimize print time.

Print Settings:

  • No supports required
  • 2-3 walls, 10-15% infill
  • Print at a constant speed of your choice.
  • Layer height: 0.20mm

Build plate required: 105 x 105 mm or larger.
