The math behind the ridges has been completely fixed so they generate perfectly on top of the base. By building them additively, they are incredibly strong and will never snap off when playing. The base is thin and comfortable, and you can push the quality slider to the maximum for silky smooth rounded corners. Grab a wooden skewer or a printed stick and drag it across the ridges to create that classic percussion scraping sound.
Behind the Design: fully parametric OpenSCAD tool. The algorithm calculates complex 3D geometry to additively generate acoustic ridges (round, trapezoid, or triangle profiles) atop a dynamic base plate.
