Description
The F-14 is a two-seater twin-jet with variable geometry: it can “fold” its wings around pivots located in the apices connecting to the fuselage. It thus adapts its aerodynamic profile to conditions of transonic and supersonic speeds (wing folded) or low speeds, during approaches and dogfights (wing unfolded). It is operated by a tandem: a pilot in front and his radar interception officer in the rear
