This linear actuator is designed for 3D printing and performs very well under load.
It can easily lift around 5 kg; I have not tested the maximum load yet, so feedback from anyone who pushes it further is very welcome.
works even for small Printers. Arm is Long but you Simply cut it to the length you need or if you limited by your Printer. (Which i actually did)
The mounting angle shown in the photos is quite demanding mechanically, but the actuator still operates reliably.
i used it to automate the window of my greenhouse, so i have a smart Temperature sensor and the window will open automatically when the Temperature raise.
if you want to make it smart you must use smart controller also listed in the Bottom.
The motor used is very inexpensive at about 5 € or less, and the limit switches cost roughly 1.50 € for a pack of ten. For the diodes, there are many suitable options; in my case, Chat GPT recommended using the 1N5822 type as a good match for this setup.
The Motor i used has 6rpm output.
The Base is designed for the Motor i used but you could use Any Motor you have i think , just make holes in the base and you will be good as long as it holds to the Base.
The Shaft of the Motor i used is 6mm.

mount the base onto the motor, add the gear, and then power the motor so the slider can travel into position.
if You don't understand how the limiters work with diode i added a Documentation , simply ask Chat Gpt about it. it is very easy. you don't really need to understand it. just test it and you will see.
If you need a longer stroke, you can simply duplicate the slider model and cut or extend it in your CAD software to achieve more length.
In practice, the main limitation will be the strength and stiffness of your chosen print material.
The entire actuator is held together with screws, including the hooks, so you can change their mounting position if needed. just drill holes and that's it.
