Spielbeschreibung Hunde Rudel

Objective of the Game:
The goal of “Dogs’ Pack” is to form packs of at least three of your own dogs. To create a pack, one of the three adjacent dogs must be able to be moved.
Gameplay:
1. Setup:
The Dogs’ Pack board consists of a pattern with nodes where the dogs are placed. Each player receives 9 dog tokens in one color (e.g., black and white).
2. Phase 1 - Placing Phase:
Players take turns placing one of their dogs on any available node on the board. The goal is to form packs—at least three dogs that are adjacent (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally).
• Forming a Pack: If a player successfully forms a pack, they may remove one of the opponent’s dogs from the board.
3. Phase 2 - Moving Phase:
Once all dogs have been placed, the moving phase begins. Players take turns moving one of their dogs to an adjacent free node. The goal is still to form packs.
• Forming a Pack: Again, the player who forms a pack may remove one of the opponent’s dogs (unless the dog is part of a pack, unless the opponent has only packs remaining).
4. Phase 3 - Jumping Phase:
If a player has only 3 dogs left, they may jump their dogs to any free node (not just adjacent spaces).
End of the Game:
The game ends when:
• A player is reduced to only 2 dogs (and thus cannot form any more packs).
• A player cannot make a valid move because all their dogs are blocked.
Strategy Tips:
• Try to position your dogs so that moving one dog can create multiple packs.
• Block your opponent’s packs early to prevent them from connecting their dogs.
The game requires strategic thinking and planning to form packs and prevent the opponent from doing the same.
