Description
KaleidoMath is a hands-on STEM model that turns abstract geometry and physics concepts into a visual, interactive experience! Designed to demonstrate the law of multiple reflections in plane mirrors, it lets users see how mirror angles generate complete symmetrical polygons.
How It Works & Math Behind It
Place the hinged mirrors into the designated angle slots ( 30° slot, 45° slot, 60° slot, 90°slot). The base features guided slots and marked angles to easily verify the reflection formula: Formula: Number of Images = (360° ÷ Angle in degrees) - 1
- 90° Slot: Creates 3 images (4-fold symmetry)
- 60° Slot: Creates 5 images, turning the central object into a full 6-pointed star / hexagon
- 45° Slot: Creates 7 images (8-fold symmetry)
- 30° Slot: Creates 11 images (12-fold symmetry)
Non-Printed Parts Needed
- 2x Acrylic / Glass Plane Mirrors (or mirrored sheets, cut to size)
- Assembly in picture
