Description
I got fed up with flashback burning ruining the underside of my work. I tried every fix people recommended online. None of them were elegant. So I designed my own.
These risers lift your honeycomb bed 6mm off the laser platform, creating enough air gap to eliminate the reflection burns that happen when the beam bounces back off the metal. The built-in neodymium magnets mean the bed clicks into place and stays there — no fiddling, no slipping mid-job.
I've been using them myself. They work. Now I'm making them for other people who have the same problem.
They printed using PETG with 30% infill. There is a pause set to insert the magnets. Magnet dimensions are 6mmx3mm. I use 4,
