Transform the unused side area of your Anycubic Kobra S1 Max into a practical modular storage area using two IKEA SKÅDIS pegboards.
This project was designed specifically around the geometry of the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max and uses custom 3D-printed mounting components to attach the SKÅDIS panels to the printer without drilling or permanently modifying the printer enclosure.
The complete system consists of multiple 3D-printed components that work together as a single mounting system.
Modular construction
The system is assembled from several individual printed parts:
- Red parts – upper mounting hooks that hang over the upper edge of the Kobra S1 Max
- Gray parts – IKEA SKÅDIS panels
- Turquoise parts – mechanical joining brackets used to connect the SKÅDIS panels
- M3 hardware – screws and nuts used to secure the printed components to the SKÅDIS panels
The turquoise components are attached directly to the gray SKÅDIS panels using M3 screws and M3 nuts.
This creates a rigid connection between the individual SKÅDIS panels while keeping the system modular and easy to assemble or disassemble.
SKÅDIS configuration
The design is intended for two IKEA SKÅDIS panels.
Each panel:
202 × 220 × 6 mm
Combined assembly:
202 × 440 × 6 mm
The two panels are positioned side-by-side to create a larger continuous organizer surface.
Mounting concept
The complete assembly is suspended from the upper edge of the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max using the custom 3D-printed hooks.
No drilling or permanent modification of the printer is required.
The mounting concept allows the SKÅDIS system to be removed from the printer when required.
M3 hardware
The turquoise mounting components are secured to the SKÅDIS panels using:
- M3 screws
- M3 nuts
Designed for makers
The SKÅDIS system allows you to add a wide range of storage accessories around the printer:
- tool holders
- filament tools
- nozzle storage
- scraper holders
- pliers
- cutters
- Allen keys
- screwdrivers
- measuring tools
- small containers
- other IKEA SKÅDIS-compatible accessories
The major advantage is that the printer itself remains untouched while the side-mounted storage can be customized according to your needs.

Recommended Printing
For the mounting components, I recommend:
Material: PLA / PLA+ / PETG
Layer height: 0.20 mm
Walls: 4
Top/Bottom: 5–6 layers
Infill: 30–40%
For the hooks, I would personally recommend PETG if the printer will operate continuously at elevated temperatures or in a warm environment.
For normal workshop use, PLA+ should also work well, provided the surrounding temperature remains moderate.
Important
This model is designed specifically around the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max and the dimensions/configuration shown in the project.
The IKEA SKÅDIS panels are not included and must be purchased separately.
The mounting system is a custom 3D-printed solution and is not an official Anycubic or IKEA product.
