Extreme Transparent PLA Profile ("Glass Effect" Vase Mode)

Did you buy transparent ("Clear") PLA filament, but your prints often come out whitish, opaque, or with a "frosted glass" effect? This profile is the solution!

I created and fine-tuned this slicer profile specifically to achieve maximum transparency and a true crystal effect on your parts. No more micro-bubbles and layer lines blocking the light: this profile shifts the printing approach to focus on optics rather than mechanics.

Key built-in settings

• Vase Mode (Spiralize): Enabled by default to print a single continuous wall, without any unsightly Z-seam.
• Line Width: Pushed to 0.6 mm (perfectly compatible with a standard 0.4 mm nozzle). This creates a thick, much stronger wall that is perfectly smooth to let light pass through.
• Print Speed: Strictly and uniformly capped at 25 mm/s (20 mm/s for the first layer). 
• Temperature: This profile is optimized to print slightly hotter than standard PLA. Aim for a nozzle temperature between 215°C and 225°C depending on your filament brand.
