8mm LED COB strip soldering jig solder fixture base and hold downs
Made this from scratch in TinkerCAD. 8mm LED COB soldering fixture / solder jig.
Shown here in PLA, however use higher temp rated filaments for better heat resistance.
Filament Temp Ratings (Amazon Affiliate links)
-PLA/PLA+: Nozzle 180–230°C, Bed 50–70°C
-PETG: Nozzle 220–260°C, Bed 70–100°C
-ABS/ASA: Nozzle 220–260°C, Bed 90–110°C
-Nylon: Nozzle 240–290°C, Bed 70–100°C
-Polycarbonate (PC): Nozzle 260–300°C, Bed 100–120°C
There's a BASE with recess cutouts for the LED strip and wires.
Push the LED Strip up to the stop.
There's a recess/pocket in the soldering area so you can keep everything aligned.
The hold downs are just there for convenience, see in the photos examples of how I articulate them for use.
28 AWG shown in photos.
They do not snap down or press fit, so they can be moved around easily as needed.
