Anycubic Kobra X - Anti-Wobble Spool Adapter

More guidance for common filament spools — without modifying the original holder...

The original tubes of the 4-spool filament holder on the Anycubic Kobra X are a bit too slim for many common filament spools. This adapter increases the spool contact diameter to 42 mm and helps the spool run much smoother and more stable.

The best part:

The original tube stays in place. It is simply inserted into the adapter with a press fit. The existing bayonet lock remains fully usable, so the holder can still be mounted, rotated and locked just like before. The front outer edge with 50 mm also helps prevent the spool from moving too far outward. I successfully tested the adapter with Anycubic, Bambu Lab and Sunlu spools.

A simple and clean upgrade for everyone who wants to keep using the original Kobra X spool holder — just with less wobble 😁

New in V2 [Starting May 15, 2026]

The V2 was redesigned after community feedback and tested directly on the Kobra X.

Compared to V1, the V2 has a higher rear guide disc, cleaner rounded edges and an adjusted front side. The inner diameter for the original tube is now 24.15 mm.

The biggest practical improvement is especially useful for cardboard spools. Unlike many plastic spools, cardboard spools often do not run on one continuous inner surface. Instead, they mainly sit on two side rings while the cardboard core is recessed deeper inside. This can cause the spool to catch in the gap between the tube and the holder arm. The higher guide disc of the V2 helps prevent exactly that.

Bonus:

The V2 can now be printed without supports by placing it rotated by 180° on the build plate. This also improves the surface quality of the recess for the tube cap.
