Description:
This is a slim build plate side mount for my Flip Riser, which holds two build plates.
6/23/2025 update: I added a top panel holder to keep the S1 top panel on the side of S1 printer when you want to open up for ventilation or maintenance. Pls check additional model photos.
Printing:
- My original 3mf profile includes print settings that I tested and confirmed.
- I printed successfully without brim or skirt.
- PLA/PLA+ is recommended.
Assembly Tips:
- Since the dovetail joint is a snug fit, pls use a mallot to tap the arm hook to the front and back parts.
- If you look at the top and bottom parts closely, you will find a chamfered middle divider in one side. That will slide into the front part when assemble them.
- Apply a dab of superglue if you feel the fit is loose when sliding top/bottom parts into the front/back pieces.
- Optionally, use double sided tape at the back piece to keep this rack in place with your printer so it does stay firmly when you slide in a build plate.
- Top panel holder: use superglue to attach it to the top rail of the build plate rack. Optionally you may align this holder to the top rail and drill 3mm deep holes using 1/16 inch (1.6mm) drill bit. Then use M2 8mm screws to attach it to the build plate top as shown. I have used both.
