I'd like to present an interactive map of the solar system.
It comes in 3 versions, each available in 3 languages (Russian, Chinese, English)
Please read carefully to understand the differences!
V1: This option (shown in the photo) is one of the most difficult to print. Because the panel uses the entire build area of the S1 Max bed (or use k3 max for ideal), the print tower and pressure equalization are disabled. As a result, printing failures and nozzle clogs are possible. However, it is possible to patch it, just like the 8-color example I printed, using 2 ACE Pro if you have them, or 4 colors if you have 1 ACE Pro. Options are available in 3 languages.
Advantages include a neat appearance and print-in-place capability.
V2: This option features a cutout for the cleaning tower and reinforced edges (in V1, large-radius disks could bend and fall out of the grooves). Advantages include immediate print-in-place capability, the nozzle pressure equalization issue has been resolved, and the edges on large radii are reinforced. Options are available in 3 languages in both 8-color and 4-color versions.
The print-in-place advantage immediately resolves the issues with pressure and nozzle clogs.
V3: This is the easiest option to print, but you will need tweezers and glue (preferably cyanoacrylate). This option also has a cutout for the cleaning tower. First, print the base, then the planets one by one. Once everything is printed, simply glue the sun and planets to the base.
Advantages include simple printing and the ability to use many colors for the planets with a single ACE Pro.
A little about the history of its creation: as a child, I really loved flipping through my world atlas, which had several pages at the end dedicated to space. Therefore, the idea for this creation came to me immediately. By the way, back then Pluto was still considered a planet; now, in my version, it is missing. Pluto ceased to be classified as a planet in 2006 by the decision of the International Astronomical Union (sorry, little Pluto). The map is easy to use on a desk or table, as well as in the wall-mounted version.
I sourced the data on orbital periods and distances from Wikipedia, which is far from the best source of information, but I hope the figures are accurate and based on reference books. However, if you notice any errors, please let me know.
