MATCH5
How to play
Place all tiles face down and mix them up.
Each player draws 5 tiles.
The youngest player goes first.
The first player may place any number of their tiles from 1 to 5 to form a single line, they may only place tiles that either match the same colour or shapes.
For example if in their hand they had 1 blue square, 1 blue triangle, 1 blue circle, 1 red triangle, 1 red circle, they could either play a row of blues (triangle, circle, square) or a row of reds (triangle and circle), the player does not have to play all the tiles they could play in one go, for example they could just play 1 blue triangle and 1 blue circle and hold the blue square back in their hand.
The player scores 1 point for each tile placed.
They move the scoring pins on their tile holder to indicate their score.
They then draw back up from the face down tiles until they have 5 tiles in hand (on their tile holder).
The second player then goes, as there is already some tiles down they must place tiles that link into existing tiles.
The same rules apply they can only place tiles onto an existing tile so the row they place is all the same colour, or all the same symbol (without the symbol repeating).
They score points for each full row off the tiles they place, so if they place a blue hexagon next to an existing blue square, they score 2 points (one for their hexagon and one for the existing square). If the place tiles to form multiple rows or columns they score points for all of them.
The second player then records there score and draws back up to 5 tiles.
The game now repeats for each player following the same steps as the second player took.
