SP1-z³D Solder pen, Solder stand w. fill indicator

Solder pen with Base station.

can be used to carry around when on site or wihth base station as tabletop solder station.

I designed this to fit:

0,8-1mm solder with the 1.0 Nozzle

1,1-1,5mm solder with the 1,5 Nozzle

1,6-2mm solder with the 2mm Nozzle

you have the option to print the base to make it convenient as a standing solder on your workbench as well as a Pen clip to take with you.

The fill indicater is shown below:

Base:

the drawer of the base station is meant to be carrying something heavy like led or some metal sheets to increas the weight of the base.

you also might want to add some rubber feet to the base to make it slip less on your table.

Pen Clip:

the Pen clip will have to print in something stronger than PLA! it prints but will break under stress.

I dont have PETG or ASA yet so that is up to you to try.

Winding-rod.

print the matching wind rod for your solder diameter, else it will not work. the diameter of the rod is layed out in a way that the Solder wil not slip back and forth.

how to Wind:

Insert the wind.rod into a power drill (you can hand wind too but its time consuming.

insert the Solder wire into the hole ar the tip of the windstick all the way until you hit the end.

then bend the solder through onbe of the slots on the top.

pushe the drill and guide the solder along the rod tightly. once you reach the end snip it off and bend the end inside.

slide it of the rod (turn slightly counterclockwise to make it eaysy.

Insert the wound uo solder into the Pen feed the solder through the nozzle and push the nozzle onto the body of the pen.

DONE

Depending on the wire used the pen will take between 3 and 5m of Solder
