I really like the design for stackable battery boxes from:
https://www.makeronline.com/en/model/Stackable%20Battery%20Organizer/459.html
Since he only offers designs for a few battery types, I designed the following boxes matching his design:
- AA (16x),
- AAA (25x),
- AAAA (LR8D425) (36x),
- C (aka Baby, 5x)
- N (LR1) (25x),
- E (6x),
- 1216 / 1220 / 1616 / 1620 (20x 1216, 24x 1220, 20x 1616, 24x 1620),
- 2016 / 2025 (27x 2016, 30x 2025),
- 2016 / 2025 / 2032 (15x 2016, 15x 2025, 18x 2032),
- 2032 (57x),
- 2320 / 2325 (32x),
- 2330 / 2354 (12x 2330, 10x 2354),
- 2412 / 2430 / 2450 (6x 2412, 10x 2430, 10x 2450)
- LR42 / LR43 / LR44 (8x LR42, 12x LR43, 15x LR44)
You can also download a lid - with and without knob - to protect the batteries from dust.
Two lids have a small edge ("pluggable" in the title). These lids are less likely to slip because they can be tucked in a little. However, they only fit boxes with smaller batteries (coin cells and AAAA).
There are base plates available for 1x2, 1x3, 2x2 and 2x3 boxes.
No supports required.
Updates June 2025:
- optimized design for AAAA and N
- smaller slots for 1216 / 1220 / 1616 / 1620
- added LR42, LR43, LR44
- added AA and AAA, because the original design is not longer available for these
Updates November 2025:
- added base plates available for 1x2, 1x3 and 2x2 boxes
Updates December 2025:
- added E (9v battery)
Updates April 2026:
- added 2016 / 2025 / 2032
- added C (aka Baby)
- added 2x3 plate
