Star Trek Communicator Badges – The Next Generation and Voyager

I created these two communicator badges as custom 3D models based on the appearance of the props used in Star Trek. The set includes the classic version from *Star Trek: The Next Generation* as well as the later variant used in *Star Trek: Voyager* and other series. Mounted just like the original using a Velcro strip that is glued into a recess at the back.

For the TNG communicator, the silver-colored Starfleet delta sits atop the characteristic gold-colored oval base. An original production prop from *Star Trek: The Next Generation*—documented by Propstore and auctioned with a certificate of authenticity—served as the visual and dimensional reference. Propstore describes the prop as a silver-colored Starfleet delta on a gold-colored oval backing.

The Voyager version features a flatter gold-colored base shape with the Starfleet delta overlaid on top. An original production prop from *Star Trek: Voyager*—also documented by Propstore and offered with a certificate of authenticity—served as the reference. The models are designed for 3D printing; they can be printed in a single color and subsequently painted in the characteristic gold, silver, and dark gray tones. Multi-color printing has been prepared using the Anycubic Slicer. Depending on the printer and desired surface quality, a fine layer height is recommended to ensure contours and variations in depth are rendered cleanly.

Diese beiden Communicator Badges habe ich als eigene 3D-Modelle nach dem Erscheinungsbild der in Star Trek verwendeten Requisiten erstellt. Die Modelle sind für den 3D-Druck vorgesehen und können einfarbig gedruckt und anschließend in den typischen Gold-, Silber- und Dunkelgrautönen bemalt werden. Mehrfarbdruck wurde vorbereitet mit dem Anycubic Slizer.
