Description

A working, extremely low-budget telescope.

The only mandatory component that you will need to buy is a set of lenses for the objective and eyepiece.

The objective lens is 50 mm with a focal length of 250-380 mm, I had a focal length of 300 mm.

The eyepiece lens is 30 mm with a focal length of 45-90 mm, I had a lens with a focal length of 75 mm.

Very cheap, and quite good lenses for their price - Rhuxyol DIY telescope lens. I bought them for about 300 rubles (or ~$6 or ~€4)

ATTENTION!!!

Do not point the telescope at the sun under any circumstances!

Optional laser pointer (preferably green) with a diameter of ~13 mm

The telescope is a refractor, designed on the principle of a regular Galilean telescope. That is, the telescope can be used as a telescope. The magnification is quite good. Printing the parts is very simple. Does not require supports or anything else, assembly is simple, instructions are included.

For the basic model, you will need to print 4 parts, optionally there is also a lens hood, a phone holder for the eyepiece, and a tripod.

The advantages of this model:

1) It works! )

2) Very low price! Consumables, even with options, cost less than $ 10 and the consumption is about 400 grams of plastic with all the options.

3) The presence of a universal phone holder will allow you to take pictures by adjusting the holder individually for your phone.

4) The presence of a laser will help orient it to the object of observation.

5) The tripod makes it easy to observe rising objects.

6) Easy to print and assemble.

Disadvantages: do not expect miracles from such cheap lenses, a small aperture and a large focal length makes a very small viewing angle, without a laser it is very difficult to aim at the desired object. Also, this model has very large chromatic aberrations. And without an installed phone, it is very difficult and inconvenient to catch the focus with your eye, so I recommend reprinting the phone holder. The peculiarity of the tripod is such, and also the lack of a mirror does not allow you to comfortably observe objects high in the zenith.

In general, this is really more of an educational telescope, allowing you to organize a whole school class and give everyone a telescope. The process will be more like fishing than an observation process. Nevertheless, this is a great option for the initial stage, then you can look at amateur and professional models. But at the same time, I think you can observe the rising Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn.

In the description you can see a photo taken on Galaxy Note 10 Lite taken with x10 magnification using this telescope.
