The Modular Lantern - Hearts & Short Straight Top With Inserts

The season of love is upon us and with it brings several new parts for the Modular Lantern.

If this is the first time you've come across the Modular Lantern I suggest toy view it's main page here. It's designed to change throughout the year and encourages experimentation.

The lantern parts are compatible with all sizes of lantern. The Inserts can be used with any size Medium or up (So not the Tiny lantern)

Slim Heart Handle

This can replace the slim handle found on plate 2 of ‘Chamfered Flat Toppers & Handle’

Wide Band Heart

You will need the retainer part shown at the bottom of the above picture (with the circle hole in it) to attach it to a top.

Large Heart Decorator

Simply clip this on top of a flat topper or blank. Chamfered Flat Toppers or Chamfered Blank Toppers.

Small Heart Decorator

This replaces the ball that fits on top of the pyramid topper, or place it on top of a chimney hat. Just experiment :-)

Short Straight Top With Inserts

This is similar to the standard straight top but accepts inserts too! Completely changing the look of the Modular Lantern again!

Of course there will be plenty of inserts released for this top so keep an eye out. There are 4 heart ones included here.

When inserting the panel and inserts ensure they are pushed fully into the slot otherwise the clips will not fit. Once inserted you can drop a clip in as follows without any force:

Once in as shown above push at the back to rotate it flat and then apply some pressure in the midle to clip it behind the slight indent shown below:

To remove pull the outer wall away from the inserts slightly and push the insert upwards:
