Description

Following my popular S1 Combo Flip Riser here, this is a riser only version so you can enjoy the rest of features below, without ACE pro.

This model is 12mm high on top of a S1 printer. You will need just 193g of filament for all parts.

7/02/2025:

  • I released a new light bar that goes with this riser, click here to view the photos of better lighting at print head.

Key Features:

  •  Slim Design: my minimal design not just saves material and printing time, but requires minimal space on top
  •  Top Panel Sliding and Tilting for Ventilation: this model support stable backward sliding or tilt up as preferred
  •  Raised Touchscreen: it is easier to do maintenance as the touchscreen can fold flat and is not in your way
  •  LED light Mounting: the LED mount is designed to illuminate downward to prevent glaring
  •  Accessory Attachment: the side rails allow you to attach printer accessories such as external spool holder, side panel, etc.
  •  Side Spool Mount: this model includes a folding side spool mount as example to encourage other attachment designs
  •  Secure Mounting: this riser is designed to use permanently attached to the printer using screws to provide stable base for side attachments
  •  Cable Management: the groove at the back left corner helps LED light strip power cable routing
  • No Support Printing: this model is designed for easy printing without support
  • No Damage Assembly: this model does not require any additional hole for attachment

Printing Suggestion:

  • My original 3mf profile includes print settings that I tested and confirmed
  • PLA/PLA+ is recommended
  • If you choose to use other materials such as PETG, make sure to account for shrinkage as it may not fit and not assemble/function properly

Hardware for assembly:

Touchscreen Riser

- M3 20 mm hex head cap (or button head) screws x 2

LED holder

- M3 10 mm countersunk screws x 4

- For LED strip, I used 12 mm width one. You may use a typical 10 mm wide strip as well.

Top Panel Riser

- M3 8 mm countersunk screws x 2

- M3 10 mm (or 12mm) countersunk screws x 2

- M3 16 mm countersunk screws x 4

Assembly Guide:

Assembly photos are available in model photo list above.

1. Add Touchscreen Riser:

  • Unscrew the Touchscreen, slide in the riser at the bottom of touchscreen, place it into printer.
  • Use M3 20 mm screws to attach them all together.

2. LED holder Brackets:

  • Assemble LED holder brackets on a flat surface
  • Attach LED strip to slope area of the LED holder with double sided tape
  • Remove eight screws from S1 printer top
  • Flip LED brackets upside down (Note LED brackets are printed upside down) and install it to printer top with M3 10 mm countersunk screws only on four corners.
  • Note that the hole for LED strip wire goes to the back left side of a printer.

3. Top Panel Riser:

  • Attach the riser on top of LED holder with M3 10(or 12) mm countersunk screws for front, M3 8 mm countersunk screws for back, and M3 16 mm countersunk screws on both sides.
